“Oh, man. I’m excited”, Tobi said, the goofy smile on his face growing wider. Twilight was approaching and he and his best friend Setsuna was on their way over to the gates. When the Moon Dormitory got in sight, he could feel his heart racing. He guessed that this must be how all the girls felt every day at this time.
Setsuna was walking calmly by his side, and he could feel her getting more and more annoyed. But he didn’t care. Tobi brushed some dust off his black jacket and approached the group of Day Class students. “Settle down now, my dear children!” he almost shouted as he elbowed his way through the crowd. When he was the one closet to the gate, he could feel his heart starting to race. ‘Jeez, calm down. Why’re you acting like a stupid fangirl?’ He turned towards the crowd, spreading out his arms. “Children, children. Clear the path.” When he was in the middle of shooing them away like unwanted crows the gate behind him opened. With eyes wide open, he turned his head toward the dorm. ‘The elites!’ 21 jun, 2014 01:24 |

It was the same fuss every day at twilight; the girls of the Day Class were standing outside the gates of the Moon Dormitory, squealing, eager to catch as much as a glimpse of the Night Class students. Fuyuki found it tiring, extremely so, and thought of it as one of the downsides of studying at Fairewright Academy.
Nevertheless, it was something that needed to be dealt with daily, and the people dealing with it were the Disciplinary Committee - yet another source of Fuyuki's problems. At least he thought of the male of the pair as problem, for he was a very troublesome human boy. The female he had no problems with, but the boy's attitude towards him were rather... indecent. (Fuyuki didn't appreciate the attention he gave him at all; he just wanted to be left alone.) He exhaled deeply, as if to brace himself, breathing in the slightly chilly autumn air. They were approaching the gates, and the vampires were chatting lazily among themselves. Some of them were complaining about how tired they were, which didn't make sense to Fuyuki since they had been asleep during the hours of the day, and some of them were talking about the classes they were going to attend. He thought he heard some unintellectual fool mentioning blood or bloodtablets, but he chose to ignore it. It wasn't his duty to scold every idiot vampire on campus, and besides, they could easily erase the memory of any human who might have overheard the conversation. He could hear the cries of the fangirls even clearer now, not that he had had any trouble hearing them as soon as he woke up. They weren't exactly discreet. He heard the shouts of a familiar voice just as the front gate opened. He instantly felt a little faint having so many curious gazes thrust upon him, although he knew he was hardly the most handsome vampire in the group, so surely not everyone was looking at him. That knowledge didn't do much to calm his nerves, though. He wasn't nervous, just uncomfortable. How the other Night Class students could possibly relax in the presence of so many humans was beyond his understanding. "Hello, ladies!" Hayato Reizei called out, waving happily at the screeching crowd. He was greeted by a chorus of excited: "Kyaaa!" Fuyuki gazed ahead, trying not to mind the humans. Someone elbowed him in the side; it was Ayaka, a vampire girl he knew fairly well. "Can't you at least try to look happy?" she asked, raising a thin eyebrow at him. "Why should I?"

When the Night Class calmly walked out of the gates, the girls surrounding Tobi suddenly changed totally. Instead of storming him, shoving him out of the way some giggled, some squealed in pure delight and others looked like they were about to faint. Tobi just shrugged and turned his back to them, arms still blocking their path.
“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen” he said as he bowed his head, in an unserious manner of course. He soon looked up again, searching the crowd of white dressed vampires. As the son of the school’s principal, he was the only one who knew. Well, he wasn’t sure if his father had told anyone else on the school grounds. But that at least what he liked to think. It made him sound cool and special. Tobi held up a hand when he saw the familiar face he was looking for. “Ah, Fuyu-cha –!” As he called out to his dear vampire comrade someone shoved him hard in the back and he went crashing to the ground. Face first, he fell flat right in front of Fuyuki Iseki. 21 jun, 2014 01:34 |

Fuyuki couldn't help but sigh. What a predictable move for someone as troublesome as him.
"Gracious as always, Hijirikawa-kun", Fuyuki deadpanned, reaching down to grab onto Tobikuma's arm to lift him up. "And I have told you not to call me 'Fuyu-chan' countless of times. It's inappropriate." He saw movement in the corner of his eye, and glanced over instinctively. Once again it was Ayaka. She looked amused, her pale lips forming a tiny smile. As if that wasn't enough, she was also giving him a funny look. He let go of Tobikuma's arm immediately as if he had been burnt. "Are you having trouble performing your duties? Because then you should perhaps consider resigning", he said, dusting off his white uniform, although it had not been dirtied.

Tobi laughed, though it was muffled by the ground. He could feel something on his face. Oh, right. It was pain. With a grunt he got up, standing on his knees. He glanced up at Fuyuki with a smile. Laughing apologetically, he quickly got to his feet.
“I’m really sorry, Fuyu-chan. Thanks for helping me up, by the way. ‘s really thoughtful of ya.” He ran his fingers through his messed up hair and tried to spit out the dirt that had made its way down his throat. “I ain’t a quitter, you should know – “ Once again he was cut of midsentence. Fuyuki was staring at him, his gaze cold. Tobi’s eyes widened and he blinked, dumbfounded. “Is there something on my face?” 21 jun, 2014 01:40 |

Fuyuki was caught off guard by his question, and just continued to silently stare at him for a moment before finally processing what he had said. "N-no", he managed to get out. "Not at all, I was just-"
"Tobi-kun!" someone interuppted him by angrily shouting. Fuyuki recognized her as Tobikuma's partner, the other member of the Disciplinary Committee. She was a short, petite girl with fiery red hair, and she was currently preoccupied with warding off the crowd of human fangirls who were trying to shove her out of the way to get closer to the Night Class students. "Stop flirting with Iseki-san and help me out here, would you?!"

Tobi turned toward his friend, shock clearly visible on his face. “I wasn’t flirting, Suna-chan.” He explained to her, trying to make the situation less awkward. He glanced over at Fuyuki and reached to place a hand on his shoulder.
But just as it hovered over it, he withdrew his dirty hand. “Woops, wouldn’t want to make your perfectly white uniform dirty. I’ll catch you later, Fuyu-chan.” The goofy grin that was his signature was once again on his lips as he retreated, giving Setsuna a hand in keeping the crazy girls under control. Though something inside him ached, some sort of longing wanted to just grab hold of Fuyuki and never let him go back behind those gates. Tobi was a member of the Disciplinary Committee, but he didn’t have a reason to go sight-seeing in the Moon Dormitory. ‘God, this sucks.’ 21 jun, 2014 01:59 |

Fuyuki shook his head slowly, as if in disbelief. "He's truly unbelievable", he muttered under his breath.
He really couldn't fathom what the other boy found so interesting about him that he kept reaching out for him each time they met, simply trying to make conversation or saying some flirtatious comment that always left him completely unimpressed (albeit a little embarrassed, at times). If he was going for a vampire because he wanted to add some spark to his lovelife or some other nonsense, surely he could find someone better than him. Then of course, there was the fact that they both were males that kept confusing him. But on the other hand, it wasn't like he understood humans all that well. Him not being able to figure out Tobikuma's motives was probably a result of that. He felt instantly relieved when they reached the School Building. He cast a glance over his shoulder, but Tobikuma was lost in the crowd. He didn't understand why that made him a bit disappointed, and he decided that it was probably for the best not to dwell on it. "Was that human a friend of yours?" Ayaka asked, tilting her head. "I have seen you talking to him several times." "No", Fuyuki said. "He's... no one." Ayaka gave a short laugh. "Of course. Just a blood bag, eh?" Fuyuki didn't look her in the eyes as he answered: "Something like that."
