"What?", you ask when he roll his eyes.

You grab his face. "Just.. don't get hurt, okay?" You say, looking directly in his eyes. You lean forward to kiss him again.

You don't answer and kiss him back.

You hear voices outside the door so you pull away from Dave and lay down, pretending that you are sleeping. You hear your dad's voice.
"You haven't left since we did, have you?" You hear your dad say."You sure are a good friend" He continues and you smile.

You put on your shades again.
"Thanks", you say and smile weakly.

"Has he been asleep all this time?" You dad asks Dave.

"Yeah", you lie.

You move in your bed and slowly open your eyes. "Dad?" You say, looking at him. He smiles. "You can go home now, son." He says. You nod and get up from your bed.

"I should probably go too", you say, give John a quick hug and walk home.

You hug Dave back and follow your daddy and Jane out.
