Chapter Twelve -- "Do I Have A Detention?"

I sat in the Great Hall with Rose, James and Scorp and ate breakfast. It was the first day after the christmas holiday. Hundreds of owls flied into the Great Hall, and a big, brown Eagle Owl landed in my lap. I took the letter and gave the owl some small pieces of toast, and it flied away whilst I was reading.

Dear Miss Mihami,
I hope that you like Hogwarts and that the school is as good as you expected. There is something I need to tell you. Meet me in my office at monday eight o' Clock, PM.

P.S. Hogwart's greatest Headmaster

"Who's it from?" James asked me.
"Um... It's... It's from Professor McGonagall." Rose rised her head from the book she was reading and closed the book.
"Professor McGonagall? What does she want? Have you done something? Are you in trouble?"
"I -- I don't know, I-- She wants to meet me monday evening." James and Scorpius laughed and said at the same time; "Ooooh...! Now you're in big trouble...!"
"Don't laugh, you idiots, it's not funny!" said Rose and hit them on their fore-arms.
"Aouch...!" the boys said, then laughed even more.
"Don't care about them. I'll help you," said Rose before she turned to her book again.

The week just flied away, and I still had not found out what McGonagall -- I'm sorry, Professor McGonagall -- wanted, neither had Rose, and soon it was monday, and I sat in the Common Room with the others and did my homework in Transfiguration. Rose moved her sight, from the book, then to me, then to the clock, then to me again. "Lily, it's five minutes to eight, you should probably go."
"Yeah." I nodded. "You're right. See you all later."
I packed my ink bottle, my quill and my parchment in my bag and walked out of the portrait hole and towards Professor McGonagall's office.

I came to the statue and thought of the clue she had written for me; "Hogwart's greatest Headmaster". It could only be one.
"Professor Dumbledore." The statue did not move.
"Albus Dumbledore." Still did not move.
"Professor Albus Dumbledore." It still did not move. What was this? "COME ONE!" I thought. "MOVE!!!"
"Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore!"
It moved, finally, and I walked up the staircase.
I knocked on the door.
"Come in." I opened the door and saw Professor McGonagall sitting in Professor Dumbledore's big armchair.

"Oh, hello Miss Mihami. Welcome."
"I'm sorry Professor... but... you see, I really don't understand... What have I done...?"
"Oh, nothing."
"Then why did you ask me to come here? Oh, uh, Professor?"
"There is... Something... Listen, Miss Mihami, I need to tell you something. Something... Important."
"What? What's going on here?"
"Have you had... any... strange Dreams, or -- or have you been acting strangely... Lately...?"
"Um... Actually yes, but why...?--"
"You'll understand soon. Sit down." I did as I was told and she started to explain, and I could not believe a word.
