PRS Mellan mig och Lama

"No thanks. And I'm not gay Mrs...?" I said polite to Edvins mom with a smile.

My mom shook hands with Cole.
"I'm Sarah Kandee, I'm not Edvins real mom, but kind of." She said politely. She was my dads girlfriends and she was like my mom.

"Oh okay. Well I think we are going to study now Mrs. Kandee. Oh and your house is very nice too." I said.
"Oh thank you! Well I'll leave you boys alone then! And Edvin," she turned to him. "Me and your dad are going to buy some food so you two will have the house for yourselves." She winked at him. "Have fun boys!" She smiled and walked out.
I laughed a bit. "Funny mom you have there." I said to Edvin. It was the first thing I've ever said to or about him that wasn't rude or sounded rude at all. I smiled at bit at him. It still made me a bit sad to be around other peoples parents because they are so nice and they are actually there.

I nodded and my mom walked out. She was like a real mum to me. Sometimes I even forgot that she wasn't my real mother.
She and my dad got married for about a year ago, but they had lived together and been in a relationship for a very long time now.
"Yeah, I like her, she is cool." I said.
I was surprised. That was the first thing that didn't sound rude or anything that Cole had said to me, but I tried to hide how surprised I actually was.
And he smiled at me to... It wasn't a grin, it was actually a smile. A real smile.
From Cole?!
"What's your parents like then?" I wondered and took my books from my bag.

My smile faded.
"I only have a dad." I said. Wait what the fuck. Why am I talking to him? Why am I telling him this? I should just tell him to fuck off. But I didn't... I felt kind of good talking to him...
No it didn't. No no no.
But I did.

I saw his smile fade. His beautiful smile... No, not beautiful. No...just no.
"Yeah, my real mom is dead too. She died when I was like five years old. Cancer." I told him and sighed. I wish she could be here. I still missed her, even if I had Sarah, but it wasn't the same thing.
Maybe Cole was rude because he had no mom?
"What's your dad like?" I asked and looked at him.

Okay he thinks my mom is dead. Well actually she can be, I dont know. But I'll let him think she's dead for now.
"What's your dad like?"
I froze. If I started yelling - I was one second from doing it - he would notice something.
I shrugged my shoulders and looked around his room.
"He's cool." I mumbled. " How's your dad?"

I nodded.
He looked a little bit weird when I asked him about his dad.
"Yeah, my dad is awesome." I told him and smiled.
Why wasn't he rude to me? He was actually kind of nice right now...
So what were we going to do? Homework? I had no idea what Mrs Adams wanted me to do, so I was just waiting for Cole to say something.

I felt a bit sad, or hurt, or mabey just jealous. His dad was normal, awesome, cool, everything. Mine just hated me.
I shrugged it off. Don't think. Don't think.
"Well are we just going to stand here all day or....?"

"No, take your books then." I told him and sighed.
Now he sounded rude again.
