They said their goodbyes and he went down to the Dungeon. On his way down he met Klaus. Fuck. Not Klaus.
“Hey”, Noel said, receiving a hello as an answer. They didn’t talk to each other after that. They just walked next to each other and when they entered the common room they parted. It was weird, walking that distance with Klaus in compete silence. Klaus wasn’t the silent type.

Noel say down in one of the chairs, listening to the other students chatting. The common room was alive; it felt as every student was out, chatting with each other. Except for Klaus. And William. Hell, he really didn’t want to know what they were up to. He tries to ignore the thought but failed. Not even a third graders Latin work could completely take his mind off of it. It was hopeless. Noel was hopeless. Hopelessly in love with William. And kind of in love with Audrey as well. Or was he even in love with Audrey? Ugh, he had no clue.

The common room went empty after a while and he went into his dorm. Klaus wasn’t there. Was he in Williams dorm? Noel shook his head at his own thoughts. It didn’t matter, he tried to tell himself. But it did matter. It mattered to him. He changed into his pyjamas and went to bed. Just like the night before, his head was full of thoughts and he tries to figure everything out. He couldn’t figure anything out, though.

Audrey and Eric sat by the lake, talking for quite some time. Finally, they both decided to go to bed. They separated in the castle, and Audrey went up to the Gryffindor common room. She went to her dorm, undressed, and climbed into bed. She closed her eyes, and feel asleep pretty quickly. She woke up two hours later; sweating from nightmares and the pain in her shoulder. She closed her eyes again and slept until morning. When she woke up and tried to get out of bed, she realised she couldn’t move her arm. Well, she could, but the pain was unbearable.

She got out of bed, and looked at herself in the mirror. Her entire shoulder was blue, and the pain pulsed through it. She clumsily put on her uniform, she had no way of tying her tie, so she had to use her wand. She looked at herself in the mirror again; her right arm just…. Hung there. She groaned and started to walk down the stairs to the entrance hall. If she didn’t say anything or act normal, Noel might not notice it. She came to the entrance hall, and saw that it was pretty empty, considering it was morning. She stood by one of the walls, waiting for Noel.

Noel eventually fell asleep, but woke up again later that night when Klaus clumsily entered the dorm. His hair and uniform was messy, very unlike Klaus. Noel could only guess what he and William had done. It bothered him. And it really bothered him that it bothered him, because he didn’t want it to bother him. Eventually, he fell asleep again.

The next morning he woke up before any of the other boys. He quickly went up and got dressed. He looked like crap. Not as crappy as the day before, but still crappy. Supposedly he didn’t look crap, but he felt like crap, making him believe that he also looked like crap. He tied his tie properly and swung his bag over the shoulder, before leaving the dorm and the common room. He walked up the stairs to the Entrance Hall, immediately seeing Audrey, standing there, waiting for him. His heart kind of fluttered when he saw her. What was wrong with him? He walked up to her and smiled. A genuine smile, actually.
“Morning”, he said, discreetly eyeing her entire body.

Audrey was in her own thoughts, which resulted in her not realising Noel was close until he said good morning to her, causing her to flinch. She clenched her teeth hard in her attempt of looking normal, as if her body wasn’t screaming to her brain that her shoulder was truly fucked up.
“Morning” she said close-bitten, and smiled. She thought his smile was genuine, so she sent one back at him.
“So, breakfast?” she asked. She wasn’t very hungry, to be honest, but he probably was.

Noel thought that she looked weird, but couldn’t figure out in which way. She just did.
“Yup”, he said and nodded. He lead their way into the Great Hall and sat down at an empty table. He was really hungry and immediately started shoving food onto his plate (and into his mouth).

Audrey sat down and looked at all the food on the table. She shook her head, and reached for the pitcher of pumpkin juice, and grimaced. She quickly switched arms and poured herself a glass of juice and took a sip. She put the glass down on the empty plate.
“So, headache gone?” she asked with a smile. She had a good feeling between them today, and she hoped it would be like that the entire day.

He didn’t pay attention to her grimacing; all his attention went to his breakfast. Hogwarts made the best meals. Hell, he didn’t want to graduate from Hogwarts ever. How could he go on living then, knowing that he would never eat a meal at Hogwarts again?
His mouth was stuffed with food so he just nodded for an answer. The headache was gone, but that didn’t mean that it wouldn’t come back.
“What about your shoulder?”

Audrey shook her head.
“Let’s just say that I’m left handed now” she mumbled and took a sip of her drink. She looked around the room, and her eyes met Eric’s before moving around again. It was pretty full in the Great Hall, but it was a school day, after all. She took a tiny piece of toast and took a small, mouse like bites. She didn’t really feel like eating. She wondered how she was going to write in todays classes, and use her wand with her left hand.

He chewed another mouthful of his breakfast, trying to make eye contact with her.
“If we go to Pomfrey now we’ll not come late to class”, he said after swallowing. He wasn’t going to let her skip Madame Pomfrey one more time - especially not when she was in such pain.

Audrey avoided his searching eyes, pretending she didn’t hear him. She looked around the room before returning her gaze to Noel. She knew that he would probably just nag until she went, anyway.
“I don’t want to have to stay there” she mumbled and took a sip of her juice.
