He was NOT kissing anybody’s arse. Merlin, he was just being nice. Did Audrey know what nice was? Sometimes he doubted it.
“What do you mean stiff?” he asked. He hadn’t thought of it. Was he being stiff? Did William notice it? Shit. If he has noticed it... It would be so embarrassing for Noel.

“Yeah, stiff. Like you’re not here anymore, and want him to approve of you” she said and shrugged.
“Like before, when I came along, you seemed a bit off. And now, you’re looking at him, as if you want him to acknowledge you” she said and looked at him. She was bad at reading people, sure, but she felt something with Noel when it came to William, she just couldn’t figure out what. She didn’t like the person he became when William was close.

He made a “pssh” sound just to show how dumb he thought it was. But it was true. He wanted to be approved of William - he had always wanted to be approved of him.
“He’s the Head Boy of Slytherin”, Noel said, as if it explained everything. It kind of worked as a explanation, to be honest. Everyone would want to look good in front of their Houses Head Boy or Girl. “He’s, you know, important or something.”

Audrey shook her head.
“Whatever, you’re still kissing his arse” she said and grinned. She moved forward and grimaced as she had to move her right shoulder when someone tried to pass her. She sighed.
“So, Quidditch practice was ruined, now what?” she said, mostly to herself, actually.

He wanted to tell her that no, he was not kissing Williams arse, but he didn’t want to bicker.
“I don’t know” he answered and shrugged. He suddenly remembered about his work that he had left behind when he ran towards Audrey when she fell. He picked up his wand and gave it a little swing.
“Accio Arithmancy work”, he mumbled, his stuff just moments late flying through the air.

She sighed.
“Well, I need to relax. And not move my shoulder as much” she said and put her left hand on her right shoulder, as if that would help. She knew she should go to Madam Pomfrey, but a part of her hoped that she either could heal herself with some kind of spell, or that her shoulder would magically heal during the night. Unfortunately, she didn’t think any of those two would happen.

He had no clue what they could do. Or, he kind of knew something. He had to do some schoolwork, but he didn’t know if Audrey would think that he was a total bore if he told her. She probably would, to be honest. But at the other side he didn’t want the project to ruin his grades.
“I need to do some schoolwork, actually”, he said, nodding towards the books that he held.

Audrey nodded.
“Sure, I can just read” she said.
“Where do you usually sit?” she asked and nodded towards the books in his hand. She didn’t have much schoolwork at the moment, she was all caught up, which was nice.

It seemed like Noel was never caught up in school. Whenever he was done with something the professors gave him something new. It was tiring, but he supposed that it would be worth it in the future.
“In the common room”, he answered. “But we can sit in the library instead, if you’d like that better.”

Audrey shrugged, and groaned. How could she forget the pain in her shoulder? Sometimes she wondered how it was possible to be that stupid.
“Doesn’t matter to me, you’re the one who’s going to study” she said with a little smile.
