Annoyance grew inside of him. He really didn't understand her. Madame Pomfrey was the sweetest, most mommy-like person at Hogwarts!
"I wont let you use random spells on yourself", he said, shaking his head. He walked up behind her and started pushing her forward, towards the Entrance Hall. If he had some more muscle he would probably carry her, but he couldn't. Pushing her worked just fine.
"If you don't start walking yourself, I'm going to keep pushing you."

She felt his hands on her back, and he started to push her. She tried to resist, but she didn’t want to use force from her right shoulder to push back, so she was forced to take steps forward. She shook her head.
“Let go of me, I don’t want to go. Stop, stop!”. She didn’t realise that she had raised her voice during the last part of the sentence. The voice wasn’t filled with anger, but with fear. She took a step backwards and looked at Noel.
“Why don’t you listen to me?” she said and felt the tears burning behind her eyes, and she blinked to keep them from falling.

Her raised, fear-filled voice made him flinch. What the hell? He just wanted her to go fix her shoulder, she should've appreciated him. He was just going to tell her that he was doing something good when she turned around and he could see her shiny eyes. He realized that it was tears that made them so shiny. Crap.
"I- I'm sorry", he began, his throat going dry. "I just don't want you to be in pain..."

Audrey sighed and put her hands on each temple, grimacing because of the pain when she moved her arm.
“I know, I’m sorry. I’m just really afraid of hospitals” she said weakly and looked in his eyes. She forced herself to keep it together and not cry, she didn’t want Noel to have to witness that. She know she was being stupid, since she had to go to Madam Pomfrey sooner or later, but she preferred later.

For some reason, and he had no idea why, he placed his hands on her waist. It just felt as the right thing to do - as if his hands belonged there.
"You don't have to go now, okay?" he said reassuringly without breaking their eye contact. "But you will have to go tomorrow."

Audrey nodded and when he placed his hands on her waist, she yet again forgot where she was for a second. Her immediate reaction was to lean her head towards his shoulder, which she did. It felt good, resting her head towards him. As if standing like that would protect her from her fears.
“Thank you” she said quietly, not moving from her position.

Her touch made him forget about everything around him - that was until he saw William in the distance. He wanted to look good in front of William, and available. Sure, William was with Klaus now - but if he changed his mind, Noel wanted to make sure that he knew that he was free.
He quickly removed his hands from Audrey’s waist and took a step back, just in time for William to walk past them.

Audrey had just closed her eyes when she felt a movement, and she opened her eyes. Noel had taken a step back, removing his hands from her waist. Had she taken it too far? He had been the one giving the invitation, though. She was a bit confused, until she saw William pass them. She sighed and shook her head.
“You’re embarrassed of me, yeah?” she said flatly and looked at him.

William smiled at him while he was still walking past them. Noel answered his smile with a even bigger one. Hell, he was so in love. In love? He couldn’t be. He didn’t want to be. He turned his face back to Audrey and his smile disappeared. He wasn’t embarrassed of her, he just wanted William to know that he was free, that he was available. Which he kind of wasn’t, considering his situation with Audrey. Or... He was suddenly confused. Was he and Audrey even a thing? Ugh, feelings.
“No, what are you talking about?” he asked, wrinkling his forehead. He knew exactly what she was talking about - he understood how it must’ve felt for her, but acting stupid was the only thing to do. He couldn’t explain about William.

“Never mind, William probably likes it when you’re kissing his arse” Audrey said with a grin. However, she felt a bit…. Hurt. Now it had happened twice that Noel acted differently when William was around, and Audrey didn’t like that pattern. She was confused, because she couldn’t put her finger on what she felt, and she certainly didn’t know what Noel felt. One day he kissed her, the other he pushed her away to kiss Williams arse instead. She hated not knowing.
"You're stiff every time William is close" she said and raised her eyebrow.
