The headache quickly kicked in. He only wanted to shut his books closed, but he didn’t have a good reason to do so, until he heard a muffled scream from the Quidditch court. He looked over there and saw Audrey on the ground. He felt his heart begin to beat a little faster; he immediately became worried. He shoved his books down from his lap and ran towards her.
“What happened?” he asked when he was still running. He felt like his mum, who always ran after him when he was playing as a child. Did he have mommy-instincts?
“Are you okay?” he asked and sat down next to her.

She heard his steps before his words. Crap, he had seen it. She shook her head.
“I’m fine, I thought it would be a great idea to take my relationship with the goal post to the next level, but it didn’t feel the same way” she joked and laughed. The laugh turned into a groan in the middle, because she moved her shoulder and the pain shot through her entire body. Getting hurt two days in a row, that must be some kind of record. She sighed and looked at Noel.
“Well, at least I can’t practice anymore today, lucky you” she said with a smile.

Noel didn’t laugh with her, he was really worried. His mommy-instincts were supposedly even bigger than his own mothers. He noticed how she groaned when she moved her shoulder and his hand immediately went there. His hand on her pained shoulder was light and gentle.
“We need to get you to Madame Pomfrey”, he said, ignoring her smiles and jokes. “Okay?”

When his hand landed on her shoulder, she expected herself to flinch, but she didn't. Audrey shook her head.
“No. I’ll fix it myself tonight, I don’t want to go there” she mumbled and looked down on her feet. She had explained the knuckles away, but she knew that it was stupid not going to Madam Pomfrey with her shoulder. She just really, really didn’t want to. Audrey was really afraid of hospitals. Sure, she wanted to become a doctor, but that was different, because then she wasn’t a patient.

Noel shook his head. He had let her get away with her knuckles, but he wouldn’t let her get away with her shoulder. She had to go to Madame Pomfrey. She couldn’t walk away with a fucked up shoulder and just wait for it to heal. He doubted that even muggles did it that way.
“Audrey, you have to”, he said, a sting of worry in his voice.

Audrey clenched her teeth.
“I’m not a patient” she said quietly and picked up her broom with her left hand.
“I’ll find something in a book or something, it can’t be that hard to take care of” she said, forgetting for a second and made a movement with her right hand and arm, which made the pain shot through her again. It was almost unbearable. She tried to kill the sound that came out of her mouth, but failed. The sound she created didn’t even sound human.
“Great, now I’ve attracted every animal from the Forest” she said with a laugh.

Why was she being silly? Of course she had to go to Madame Pomfrey, even though that she wasn't a patient or whatever she said. He would not let her play around with magic on her own body. She could really hurt herself, and he didn't want that for her.
Her scream-ish sound made him grimace. It was one of the strangest sounds that he had ever heard, coming out from a human being.
"You're hurt and you're being silly", he said, standing up. "I'm going to get you to Madame Pomfrey." He stood up, placing his hands on her hips to lift her up in a standing postion.

Audrey groaned.
“I’m serious, I don’t want to go there” she said and shook her head. She felt his hands on her hips, and for a second she forgot where she was. She stood up with his help and looked at him.
“I hate hospitals” she said quietly and bit her lip. She shook her head and brushed of her skirt with her left hand.
"Since I can move it, it means it's not broken, so it'll probably heal by itself" she added and sighed.

He didn't understand why she didn't want to go to Madame Pomfrey. She was one of the sweetest women at Hogwarts, she was like a second mom, to be honest.
"You can't walk around with such pain in your shoulder", he said, looking in her blue eyes. Hell, if he was the one who was hurt, he would already be in the hospital wing.

Audrey shook her head.
“I bet there’s a painkiller spell somewhere I can find” she mumbled and looked down at her feet again. Last time she went to the hospital wing, she had been unconscious and hadn’t made the decision herself. When she woke up she had had to stay in the hospital wing for a day, and she had hated it. Being stuck in a bed and not allowed to move, it was a total nightmare. Especially while wearing those white hospital gowns. She shivered just by the thought of it.
