New generation benders

Herkio watched Ela take her package. He had his own too, it wasn't much though. An very small tent that could fit in his little backpack, some money and a knife. He didn't need so much else. Usually he slept under the stars because he thought it was so warm there but when it became colder or rained her put his little tent up.
"Oh, then we have to wait" he mumbled, a bit disappointed. He wanted to go now. He continued to pet his dove some and watched Ela break the window lock.

"Hey, what are you doing?" he asked as well and got to her. But she had already jumped out of the window. "So you're just going to leave us all and miss this adventoure?" he asked her and looked disappointed again. He had liked her. "Well, it was nice to meet you atleast. I hope good things will come in your way" he said after her and watched her run.

Ela stopped in her steps and turned around. She sighed loudly.
"You'll do too if you don't get out." She called out and shrugged. "It's not a real adventure if you got three grandparents watching your every move." As she said this Ryuu blew out another window.

"Let's run away, folks!" He said super excitedly. Hye came jumping out after Ryuu. "I think they heard us by now!" He continued happily. "Hey Ela, can you at least release the poor bison before you bail?" Ryuu shouted at her and gestured towards a giant... stable-like building. Ela sighed. Just as she thought she was getting away.

"Wait, are we doing something illegal right now?" Hye asked.
"Probably!" Ryuu shouted back the whole place lit up. Ela ran over the courtyard and blew the door open with earth. As the door was blown open however this flying lemur flew straight at her and she instinctively lied down on the ground and covered her face. Her breathing quickened because she thought it was a bird. She could just hear the screams of the horrible monsterbirds as she tried blocking them out. Ryuu knew that she was scared of birds... he had thrown one in her face and she hadn't calmed down in an hour.

Herkio stopped talking, she was actuall right. They were never going to be in real danger or do anything fun with them watching over. They needed to get away. He sighed a bit sad. Maybe they just all would get away and forget it.

He lit up a bit when the others seemed to want to continue to stay together. He jumped out as well and the avatar followed, he seemed much happier than before. "Awesome!". Herkio got to the others and saw the big stable where the bison was. He had never seen one in person, but they seemed really cool.

Herkio laughed at the stable door blew up and started to run, he could help with the bison as well, ice chains broke more eaisly. But he completly stopped when Ela fell to the ground. "Ela?" he asked and stopped by her. "How are you?". The lemur flew up from her and on to Ryuu before it went to Hye. Seeing that she wasn't hurt Herkio walked inside the stabbles where the giant bison was. It sure was magnificent. "Hello there!" he smiled toward it before brining out his water. He attached it to the chain and freeze it. He then broke the ice and one of the chains broke since he didn't have to much water to cover all the chains at the same time. But soon he saw the bisons tub with water and used it to freeze the other chainz and break them as well.

"Hey? Ela? Are you okay?" Is that the damn avatar coming up now? She's not okay, on of the winged beasts attacked her! She's going to murder every bird and every stupid winged creature anywhere! Burn them to crisps. Suddenly she was pulled off the ground. Can she be left in her murderous fantasies in peace!?
"I'm sorry, did Jangbu scare you?" Hye asked her, she pulled her up and she was asking if her flying mongrel scared her?
"Of course it did! It's a flying... thing!" She said whilst backing of and her arms were flailing everywhere. "Winged creatures! Everywhere! Why!?" She said and kept flailing.
"Because of nature, now come on. Herkio got the chains off while you were freaking out over a lemur." Ryuu said and tried pulling Ela with him.
"I'm not stepping a foot on that thing! That's even worse!" She said pointing at the bison which she was right in front of.
"Pema won't hurt you, she's nice." Bipin said who was already on top of the giant thing.
"Yes, I'm believing that." Sarcasm. "Why can't we just get a car?" As Ela kept trying to prolong the inevitble. She knew she couldn't get away herself, not anymore.
"Just get up on Pema already, the worst that'll happen is that you fall off." Ryuu said and Ela got a lot paler than what she really is. Falling? That's just one of the things. She's scared of it. That's when the large flying bison sticks out her tongue and licks her.
"See, she likes you! Now get up we need to hurry up." Ryuu said almost angrily. Ela was jumping back a few steps and was trying to get the slime off.
"I'll catch you if you fall of, Ela!" Hye said happily as she passed her and Ela splatted spit in her direction. Bipin was holding the leather which controlled the huge creature while laughing like a maniac.
"Herkio is with us, come on now." Ryuu said and just as Ela was going to protest again metal passed her ear and Ryuu basically pulled her up on it. Ela grabbed the large... saddles edges like if that was her only hope while mumbling things like:
"I'm going to die, I hate flying, why?"

Herkio brought back the water to his bag and looked up at the big bison. It was kinda cute. He went to it and petted it over it's fur. Eis chirped happily, she could fly freely when they was going to fly on Pema, which she really liked.
He looked back and saw Hye pull Ela up. He wondered what was up with her. But he guessed it wasn't anything dangerous. He heard her talk about winged creatures. Was she scared of birds? He had a friend that was that and that completly hated Eis. It wasn't so nice.
He got up on the bison when Hye and the avatar got up. He wasn't too comfortable with flying either, but he could do it. He atleast had his water. He could use it to catch himself or atleast land softly on the ground. Or maybe make snow to catch himself in. Snow wasn't a thing he made so much, since it didn't help in any battle. But it was fun when he missed his home.
Herkio smiled towards Ela. "Hey, if you falls off I promise to cath you with my water, or make a soft pillow made out of snow" he promised and sighed when she was finally up on it and the bison went outside the stabbles and started to lift. He held in the saddle as well and soon they where high up. Eis flew of from his shoulder and besides them. "So, here we go" he mumbled to himself.

As Pema lifted off Elas hair did this odd motion where it flew up and even though she was frightened by their height she lifted her hand to push it down. A sucking feeling in her stomach made her grab the edges again and almost throw up at the same time. She was whiter than Pemas fur and the stupid lemur and the dove was flying by themselves.
"Ey, Ela, check it out!" Ryuu said and stood up on the large beast. Ela looked up at him and crawled a little bit further away from him.
"You die without me, madman!" She said and the panic in her voice was shining through. Hye giggled slightly. Of course, she thought Ela was silly or something. Because Hye could catch herself if she fell, could Ela do that? No. No she could not. She was pretty much doomed to die if she fell off because she didn't trust that anyone of them would be quick enough to save her. Her heart was pounding like crazy in her chest and she was holding on so hard that her hands was going to be bloodied when she got off.
"Look!" Bipin shouted and looked horrified as an airbender showed up to their right, a firebender at their left with fire out of his feet.
"Kidnapping is a federal offense! You're all under arrest for kidnapping the avatar!" The airbender shouted out. How high can they possibly fly? Where does the oxygen levels get to low? Higher up. Ela knows this.
"Get her to fly higher!" She shouted over the wind and Bipin looked surprised but complied quickly. Pema did some kind of... moaning sound. Like if she thought it was a drag to fly higher and faster. Ela thought it was funny however she got her head straight quickly. She was high up in the air on a weird but huge flying animal. This is not funny.

Herkio felt the light feeling in his stomach as well. It wanted to make him vomit and scream, but at the same time just laugh and stand up. His dove was very happy as she flied. She was just beside them.
He just held harder to the saddle as Ryuu stood up. He was with Ela on this one, that was too crazy for him. HE and she was the ones that had least chance to surivive if they fell of. Because it wasn't sure that he was going to get his water out in time. But now all that was too late. But he wasn't as afraid as Ela. Slowly he made his way over to her and looked at her. "I'm a bit scared to of this to be honest" he said to her, just high enough so she could hear it. "But it's not so bad is it? Just look at how beautiful everything is". he looked out from the bison. They could see the whole city...
Just when he thought that the air and fire bender showed up, very angry. But Herkio didn't wanna be arrested. "He followed us! We didn't kidnap him!" he shouted so it would be heard. He didn't hear what Ela was sayin so when they started to fly higher he wasn't expecting it. His grip of the saddle slid of and he just fell of the bison. "No! No!" he screamed and luckily enough for him he got his water out. He didn't even think now. He wrapped the water around the sadle and made it to ice so he could drag himself up. But the ice started to crack as he tried to drag himself up.

Out of sheer reflexes Ela grabs his arm as she can hear the ice next to her head cracking. Also, her hair was stuck in it. Ryuu was back down, he had had himself a fright by the sudden height gain as well. Ela was still holding on the edge of the saddle but she was hardly strong enough to get him up with just one arm? She tried however, she pulled him up at least a little. However Hye suddenly came up from below him with her darn airbending and gave him a lift as well. Ela couldn't really see where she went since when she lifted her head she pulled her hair and that kind of hurt her. Didn't she even have her mothers hairbrush in her bag? That ancient thing was the only thing Ela didn't have the heart to sell of as she saw fit.
"Are you allright?" She asked Herkio as Hye once again flew over them. Her... clothes... had wings. Almost like a flying squirrel. She landed on Pema again with a smile and her hair was brushed by the wind in a playful manner. Ela guessed that Hye loved flying, loved being in the air... not like her. It stung of jealousy in her. Ela didn't plant the fear there, it wasn't her fear from the start. The whole of her family planted the fear inside her.

Herkio was terrified. He was sure he was gonna fall. He was going to die. Why did he even sign up for this? Now he would be smushed against the ground in a horrible and painfull death. He didn't cry or scream anymore. He just hung onto the ice and hoped it would hold. But he could hear it crack. He felr Ela grab his arm and tried to get up. But nothing helped.
Until Hye came. He got back up and crawld nto a little ball, shaking and almost whimpering. He quickly brought his water bqck and closed his eyes. He hated flying. He heard Ela's question and slowly nodded and opened his eyes. He really hoped that would never happen again. "Did we shake them off?" He mumbled, a bit green.

"Who said adventure would be easy, right?" Ryuu said smiling, he was one of those positive bastards who never gave up. Always tried to keep a smile on his lips and and kept on fooling the crowd with the illusion of happiness. However, if something taught her during this year it was that a smile could hide more than a thousand lies of anyone. Ryuu always smiled... and a darkred headband was always hiding his forehead and his hair the headband. It was as if his smile was to hide whatever he was hiding beneath the headband. Ela looked at Herkio.
"It seems we did!" Bipin said and seemed really happy about it. Ela would be too if she didn't want to get off this bloody animal.
"You gave me a real scare there, Herkio." Ela commented trying to concentrate on something else but the clouds that they were about to pass through. It was amazing but it scared the hell out of her as well. She'd rather be in the midst of a volcano's horrible eruption than this high up in the air. She could control an eruption. She could not control how high Pema flew.
