He pulled on his trousers and put his wand in his pocket.
"I'll try", he joked. To be honest, if a professor asked where she was, he would probably tell them the truth. He didn't want to lie to a professor. Way too risky.
He walked up to the door and grabbed the handle as he turned around.
"Good night", he said, just as he opened the door and walked out. The air in the corridor was different from the air in there. He didn't know why that was, but he preferred the air in the room of requirement. It felt eaiser to breath, somehow.

He quickly walked back to the common room. He thought about Klaus and hoped that he would be in there. He probably would. Klaus was probably just talking so much that he forgot about the time or something. He walked into the common room, which was full. Some third-graders greeted him with big smiles (for some reason, he couldn't figure out why) and all the Prefects (except for himself and William) sat around a table, probably having a meeting. Noel said hello to them as he walked past them, on his way to his dorm. When he walked in there, there was only one boy there. Klaus! He was sitting with his back facing the door.
"Hey Klaus", Noel said, walking up to him.
"I-", Klaus begun, turning around to see Noel. He looked as if he didn't know what to say, which was really strange.
"What?"
"You can't tell anyone, okay?" Klaus looked him deep in the eyes. Noel wasn't sure if he even wanted to know what he was going to say. It sounded too serious. But he just nodded, being curious and all.
"I hooked up with William." Noel wasn't sure that he had heard that right. William? Prefect William? Really straight William? Noel was in shock.
"Uh- Okay", was everything that he could say. "I'm actually quite tired, so I'm going to bed." Klaus just nodded as a response and Noel went on to change into his pyjamas. He slipped down in bed and everything that he could think of was William. And Klaus. And Audrey, actually. Noel had liked William since what felt like forever. He had never believed that he was gay, though. And now Klaus just... Got him? It really bothered him. Not that it should've, he had just kissed Audrey. He couldn't quite figure out how he felt about anyone or anything anymore. He dropped his thoughts and fell asleep.

Audrey read for a while, but drifted of pretty quickly. She fell asleep with the book leaning on her face. She woke up two hours later, screaming her lungs off. She breathed quickly, and groaned. She leaned the back of her head towards the wall, and tried to take deep breaths. After a minute, she put her feet on the ground, standing up. She kicked the nightstand, just to get her feelings out. She changed into her clothes and walked out of the Room of Requirement. She moved silently through the halls. It was not that late, but still too late for students to be in the halls.

She reached the entrance hall, when she quickly hid when she saw a movement coming from the stairs which led to the dungeons. It looked like Klaus, Noels friend, but Audrey wasn’t sure. She looked down the corridor to the dungeons. She wasn’t sure what she wanted to do; a tiny part of her wanted to go and get Noel, make him comfort her. She sighed and sat down on the floor, she needed to think.

Noel only slept for an hour or so. It was like his mind was full of thoughts even though he was asleep. Eventually they woke him up.
He took his wand and whispered Lumos so that it lit up. All of his friends were asleep (it looked like, at least) so he figured that the light wouldn't bother anyone. He picked up the same muggle-book that he had read the day before and opened it. He tried to read; but he just thought about William, Klaus and Audrey as the pages went by. It was hopeless. He was hopeless. He was so confused.

Audrey stood up, and walked down the stairs to the dungeon. After a while, she stood in front of the green-ish wall which she knew lead to the Slytherin common room. She was being stupid. Now, what? She shook her head, and turned around again. She went back to the entrance hall, and went out the big oak doors. As she got closer to the lake, she saw someone sitting by it, maybe the same person she had seen before. She took a turn so she didn’t disturb the person. Unfortunately, the person had taken her lake spot. She sighed, she still needed a good thinking place. She went to the nearest good climbing tree, and climbed up in it. She leaned against the stem and looked up at the stars, the sky was clear tonight.

Reading was pointless. It didn't take his mind of anything - it kind of made him think of it more. He sighed, closing his book and putting it on the night stand. He couldn't sleep and reading didn't work - what was he going to do? He lied in bed for a while, thinking of his options. The best option was to just lay in bed, waiting to fall asleep. But it stressed him out. Not doing anything. Being around people who where asleep, but not being able to sleep himself.
After a while he stood up and changed into the clothes that he had worn earlier. He put on his Prefect-emblem. If a professor found him out in the castle he could say that he thought that Snape meant that he was supposed to walk around the castle every night for the rest of the week. It could work, he thought.

With his wand in his right hand he walked up the stairs to the Great Hall. The air inside the castle was the same as always. He walked out to the school yard, breathing in the cold night air. It felt fresher to breath. He saw someone down by the lake, but he didn't walk up there. He didn't want to be a Prefect tonight. He wanted to be... Normal. A normal boy who sometimes breaks the rules for his own good.

Audrey looked down at the person sitting by the lake. She squinted her eyes, but she couldn’t figure out who it was. She looked over at the castle, and saw a wand lit. She reacted to it, which made her half fall off the tree. She grabbed a branch in the last second, and landed half clumsy, half brilliantly, on her feet. Fortunately, the person by the lake didn’t notice.

She walked far behind the person by the lake, and didn’t know where to go. She looked towards the Forbidden Forest, but she wasn’t stupid enough to go there all by herself during the night. She looked over at the lit wand again, wondering who it was. It didn’t seem like a teacher, because if it had been, she had already been on her way to detention.

He saw a girl, perhaps, falling down from a tree. He couldn't help but chuckle. It looked hilarious, knowing that his lit wand probably was the reason to it. After some long seconds he decided to walk up to the girl. If everything failed he could just tell her that he was on Prefect duty, so it couldn't hurt. He walked up to her and as he got closer he realized that it was Audrey. He didn't want to talk to Audrey. She hadn't done anything wrong but he was just so confused. Confused about his feelings for her. He was just a couple of metres behind her when he decided to walk back to the castle again, hoping that she hadn't noticed him.

Audrey brushed off her trousers, and looked back towards the lit wand, which was on its way back to the castle, apparently. Maybe the owner thought the lake area was crowded. Audrey though so, too. She sighed, and walked back into the castle, and up the stairs to the Gryffindor Tower. When she came to her dorm, she put a silence spell on her bed, and sat down. She opened her nightstand drawer and took out the bottle with the green potion in it. She figured it would at least not do any damage, she hoped. She sighed, downed the bottle and lied down on her bed. She closed her eyes, and fell in a deep sleep within minutes.

Noel quickly went down to the dungeons. It had been such a stupid idea. What did he even supposed to do out there? He sighed, entering his dorm and pulling his clothes off. What the hell did he think? He was a Prefect - he couldn't afford to break more rules than he already had in the last few days. Losing his post as a Prefect would leave him with nothing. No one would know who he was if he wasn't a Prefect. He pulled the covers over his body and tried to fall asleep, which he failed. He blinked and suddenly Audrey popped up in his mind, then William and lastly Klaus. What was he going to do?

Audrey opened her eyes and yawned. She was amazingly well rested, but she felt a bit…. Weird. It was like fog in her head, but at least she hadn’t had any nightmares. She had slept like a baby, which was truly amazing.

She looked around, and saw that the beds were empty. She looked at her clock, and sat up straight. It was 10am! She had missed breakfast, and the first hour of Charms! She threw herself out of the bed, put on her uniform. She put on makeup quickly, and raced down the stairs to the classroom, where the door was locked. Crap. Professor Flitwick had a rule; if you were late, you were late. She sighed, and sat down on the window sill and leaned her head towards the window. She had to sit there, waiting for the class, and Noel, to come out. She cursed herself. Stupid potion.
