Har velat se Classic ett tag och tror jag kommer att gilla det (gillar ju ändå Star Trek The Original Series...). Men jag är lite orolig för 2nd Doctor. Majoriteten av alla hans avsnitt är reconstructions. Är dessa väldigt dåliga eller är de så att man kan se dem och gilla dem?
Jag brukade se 2nd på TV4 Sci-Fi för massa år sen och vad jag minns fanns det en massa nice avsnitt. Det jag specifikt kommer ihåg är avsnitten där han träffar på Cybermen, det var gryymt. Så jag tror det är värt att ge det en chans iaf!
Och de har ju faktiskt hittat några avsnitt från 2nd som folk trodde var borta för alltid. Kommer jag på såhär i efterhand xD
Jag läste någonstans att de allra flesta whovians skulle kunna tänka sig att skippa 2nd Doctor helt eftersom så många av hans avsnitt saknas  Så tänkte höra här om det var värt det. Men jag ska ge det en chans iaf.
Om inte annat kan du ju bara se Tomb of the Cybermen och Enemy of the World. De är ju hela serials, och då har du iaf sett lite av 2nd. ^^

actions have no consequences, nobody dies in a way that’s not gently in their beds unless they come back two minutes later, the Doctor himself can’t get his hands dirty and commit genocide because think of the children.
Moffat wants big, emotional moments and plots, but he’s afraid to commit the Doctor or the companion to real reactions or emotional fallout. Everyone just bounces back in an episode or two. The constant overuse of timeloops removes half the risk from the situation and ensures the Doctor never has to make difficult choices because he’s reading off a script.
There’s barely even write a proper goodbye for a recurring character called River because she dies in her first episode then is a ghost or something(?). And the preference for romance with one-offs doesn’t help - no need for emotional vulnerability when the Doctor only spends 10 minutes screen time with whoever’s into him this week (and he will have forgotten her by next week). The writing skips from scene to scene (particularly between seasons) because the alternative would mean actually putting some work into his job and writing them out of a corner.
and the non-destruction of Gallifrey just seems like more of the same. Heaven forbid the Doctor make the choice to kill his own people because they’re trying to explode the universes. Tycker iofs mycket av det där är ganska orättvist och felaktigt. Det känns som om författaren av dessa rants inte direkt har lagt ner mycket tanke på sina reflektioner.
Spoiler:Tryck här för att visa!Att the Doctor tänker på barnen är inget nytt. Det hör till hans personlighet och han vill rädda alla. Saviour complex har han. De enda som var 100% oskyldiga i Time War var barnen och de gjorde det värt att rädda planeten.
Och det var inte hjärtskärande för 10th att låsa in Rose? Det var inte ett svårt beslut? Det var inte ett svårt beslut att låta Donna glömma allt om honom? Det var inte svårt för honom att se Amy och Rory slutgiltigen dö? Det var inte svårt för honom att se den där tjejen i Christmas special med rymdskeppet Titanic dö? Allt kanske inte är skrivet av Moff, men det kvittar för Doktorns personlighet är med.
Doktorn får lära känna River baklänges så därför får tittarna det också. Nej, det fanns inget farväl i slutet av Rivers story för vi fick det i början av Rivers story. Det är meningen!
Och allting händer bara i episod per episode? ALLTING i sjätte säsongen hängde ihop. Och War Doctor har varit med sen hotellet med worst fears och minotauren. Men det kom han också bara på för en sekund att använda i ett enda avsnitt eller hur?

John Simm var en jätte bra Master men i Doctor Who tv movie så sa Doctor att Master hade gjort slut på alla hans "regenerations" så hur kunde han komma tillbaka i Utopia? Jag är lika förvirrad där som hur End of Time och Day of the Doctor hänger ihop.

Amy och Rory dog ju inte ens! De "fastnade" i New York utan någon anledning (varför kunde inte Doctorn åka tillbaka och hämta dem? Varför kunde inte, om det nu var omöjligt för tardisn aatt lanlanda där av någon outgrundlig anledning, inte River hämta dem? Varför letade inte dotorn rrätt på en egen vortex manipulator? Varför åkte inte Amy och Rory några mil bort där Doctorn KUNDE landa???) det finns 100 sätt de kunnat lösa det på men nej tydligen inte ... Dessutom fick man aldrig ens se dem dö. Helt klart det minst sorgliga och mest patetiska slutet hittills.

"one of the things about Moffat is he’s not a particularly brave writer, is he?
actions have no consequences, nobody dies in a way that’s not gently in their beds unless they come back two minutes later, the Doctor himself can’t get his hands dirty and commit genocide because think of the children.
Moffat wants big, emotional moments and plots, but he’s afraid to commit the Doctor or the companion to real reactions or emotional fallout. Everyone just bounces back in an episode or two. The constant overuse of timeloops removes half the risk from the situation and ensures the Doctor never has to make difficult choices because he’s reading off a script.
There’s barely even write a proper goodbye for a recurring character called River because she dies in her first episode then is a ghost or something(?). And the preference for romance with one-offs doesn’t help - no need for emotional vulnerability when the Doctor only spends 10 minutes screen time with whoever’s into him this week (and he will have forgotten her by next week). The writing skips from scene to scene (particularly between seasons) because the alternative would mean actually putting some work into his job and writing them out of a corner.
and the non-destruction of Gallifrey just seems like more of the same. Heaven forbid the Doctor make the choice to kill his own people because they’re trying to explode the universes. No, that’s upsetting and hard to deal with and doesn’t have a simple one-episode resolution. easier to just wish it away with magic.
I feel like if Moffat would grow a spine and commit the Doctor in particular to some actual emotions or consequences there might actually be something worth watching. maybe."
Kan lägga till själv något som jag skrivit om förut i tråden, att jag är så fruktansvärt trött på att alla bara "Moffat kills all the fav characters!!" osv osv. Detta har jag hört så många gånger på diverse sociala medier det är helt sjukt. ??? vem har han någonsin dödat??? vad har jag missat??? varför är det just moffats avsnitt som är såå hjärtekrossande?? va
oohh detta fick mig att tänka på alla anledningar jag hatar The Moff. hahahah alltså det finns så många kan inte ens ta upp dem.

Tycker iofs mycket av det där är ganska orättvist och felaktigt. Det känns som om författaren av dessa rants inte direkt har lagt ner mycket tanke på sina reflektioner.
Spoiler:Tryck här för att visa!Att the Doctor tänker på barnen är inget nytt. Det hör till hans personlighet och han vill rädda alla. Saviour complex har han. De enda som var 100% oskyldiga i Time War var barnen och de gjorde det värt att rädda planeten.
Och det var inte hjärtskärande för 10th att låsa in Rose? Det var inte ett svårt beslut? Det var inte ett svårt beslut att låta Donna glömma allt om honom? Det var inte svårt för honom att se Amy och Rory slutgiltigen dö? Det var inte svårt för honom att se den där tjejen i Christmas special med rymdskeppet Titanic dö? Allt kanske inte är skrivet av Moff, men det kvittar för Doktorns personlighet är med.
Doktorn får lära känna River baklänges så därför får tittarna det också. Nej, det fanns inget farväl i slutet av Rivers story för vi fick det i början av Rivers story. Det är meningen!
Och allting händer bara i episod per episode? ALLTING i sjätte säsongen hängde ihop. Och War Doctor har varit med sen hotellet med worst fears och minotauren. Men det kom han också bara på för en sekund att använda i ett enda avsnitt eller hur?

Och nej, jag tycker inte att allt Moff gör är fantastiskt. Jag tycker inte heller att allting RTD gjort är awesome. Men jag tycker Moff blir fruktansvärt utpekad och någon borde försöka visa att han inte är så jättehemsk. Jag tar på mig den rollen.

Tryck här för att visa!Amy och Rory blev tagna av en Weeping Angel efter the Doctor räddat dem från det New York där Frihetsgudinnan var en jätte-angel xD Eftersom Doktorn inte hade en aning om var någonstans the Weeping Angel skickade dem så kunde han inte heller åka och plocka upp dem.

Tryck här för att visa!Och varje gång man blir tagen av en weeping angel så blir det en "fixed point in time". Alltså man måste stanna kvar under den tiden man har blivit skickad.
Fast ändå så kunde Doctor söka på Amelia and Rory Williams i TARDIS och sen besöka de. Och kanske resa mer med de men de måste dö precis där de blev skickade.
