The Noble Lion - Your kidding me right?! How did I not know about this? What organisation/-s do you travel with? State? City? School? Family? Dude! You're doing exactly what every teen in the world should do.

Hahahaha, eeeh idk STS is the organisation I'm going with and I'm going to Montana! LDLKJSAHKSJ SO EXCITED! I'm going to Butte which is a small city quiiite near (not really) Yellow Stone National Park. I'll be living in a family containing a mom and a dad and then two boys (10 and 12 years old), they also have two beautiful cats. Hopefully I'll be a senior but that's not for sure, I might end up being a junior which is totally okay! I'm going the 15th of August so it's really close now! I'm so nervous and excited and anxious and everything! But it's gonna be totally awesome!
Did you go as an exchange student as well?

I learn some english from the lessons in school, but most of it I learn from books & internet haha. My english isn't very good, because it's so hard with all the rules D: I can read and understand it very good, but speaking english isn't that easy, and writing is even worse xD

I don't even know if that was a correct sentence, but well...

I've realized that my Swedish language have become horrible, because I've (subconsciously) started to translate English directly to Swedish, which means my grammar is catastrophic, haha

Yupp, I was in Vegas 11/12, so I've been home for a year now. Time goes by so fast and in a year you will feel like it was all a dream.

Omg Vegas?! That's so awesome! How was it? Was it the best year in your life? How was your family? Was the first day in school like REALLY nervous? Did you have someone to sit with at lunch? Because that's what I'm super nervous about!

It's not that very special, it's really not like you can do more stuff if you live in a big city, we had a city curfew for everyone under 20 to be home by 10 pm. So yeah... But it was fun, great weather and all. And it was the best year of my life, so much fun and my host family was amazing! Since my host mom was only 26 when I got she's more like a sister to me, and then I had a 6 year old baby sister too so I pretty mush left sweden with only a brother and got back with two additional sisters. They're really the best, still talking to then regularly, don't know what I would have done without them. The first day wasn't too bad, since my host mom was a teacher at the school and her parents had a finish exchange student we pretty much stayed together and I knew some more people too before school started which was good. Only shared two classes with people I knew before but it was great. And everyone is really excited about you, if you live in a smaller community everyone probably know already that you're coming everyone will be asking you stuff and be like: hey! You're the girl from sweden! How is it there? Is it cold? Do you have like polar bears? Is there a lot of choclate and watch shops over there?
Then they're gonna call you sweden instead of your name cause it's so cool that they've met, or even more so know someone foreign. One of the most fun things you can do is talk about things we don't have. Had this conversation with few people in my Spanish class and they all were like "we're gonna go to sweden!!!l" then one guy asked if we had McDonald's and I was like duuh, yeah! And then he asked about subway and I said yes and then starbucks and I explained the hole ridiculous thing with only having in on international ground and they all laughed and then asked about in and out, zonic and other fast food places we don't have and they all started freaking out. Best part was when I said that we didn't have Panda Express and this guy like panicked and said he would never come here, buhu...
But yeah, that's fun. They actually do want to know stuff about you and this country so let them in. And trick the a bit, had a friend who got asked if we had any polar bears and she said she had three as pets, one they bought and then they'd found the other two and just kept them cause they felt bad for them. Then she continued by telling them that she had giraffes too in trying to make them understand that she was joking and they believed her. One girl asked if it wasn't too cold for he giraffes and she told them she lived on an island where it was always winter on one half so that the polar bears could live there and then it was always summer on the other for the giraffes. These people became her like best friends and they got so close then a few weeks before she was leaving she remembered and told them all she has been kidding, they're still talking about it and I believe it's like an inside joke for them, so cute.

Oh my fricken god this makes me so happy, it seems so lovely and I just want to go there now! Though since Montana has the same weather as Sweden, it's even a bit colder I don't think they'll ask about the polar bears. Or maybe they will because they probably don't know where Sweden is and if you look on a map Sweden is further up than Montana. That trick your friend did sounded really fun, I can't believe they believed her and that she could keep a straight face! The only thing I've really thought about is to tell my mother to send me Djungelvrål and then make them taste it!

One thing I think you should bring your hostfamily is a book about Sweden, but I can't remember the name of it...
