New generation benders

Even the teardrops on Herkio's cheeks slowly turned into ice as well. Around him all the grass was ice now. He was a bit out of controll, the spirit made him so out of balance and made him upset. He just wished he could shut it out, if he only could do one thing it would be that. But he had to live with the spirit forever. It had appeared again. It was laughing at him. "Well, everyone thinks you're insane now as well" it laughed.
Then he heard Ela's voice. She was talking calmly to him. He brought down the hands from his face but still had his eyes closed. Slowly the ice melted again as she talked and he quickly wiped away his tears. He continued to listen to her and finally opened his eyes and looked at her.
"I..I'm sorry" he mumbled. He had just exploded. He hadn't meant it. "I..It. I can't stand the spirit. I can't shut it out" he whispered so only she would hear. She was the only one that would and could understand. "It keeps telling me how horrible I am. How much you must hate me and all the horrible things I've done. It's hard not to believe him". His spirit had actually disappeared for a moment.
He then heard Ryuu and Hye as well and looked up at them. He felt ashamed now. He had just exploded. What if he had turned any of them into ice as the grass around him? Maybe he was dangerous after all? "But I can be horrible. I have the power to be. How can you trust me not to make the wrong choices?" he said but he had calmed down since the spirit was gone.

Herkio stood up and looked at the grass around him before he turned it back to just normal grass with water. He then helped Ela up from the ground. "I'm sorry for...exploding. This is all just driving me insane" he said. Maybe it was the spirits goal. "I just think we all need to rest and take it easy after we rescue the others" he continued. Last time he had ate was probably at the party. And he had barerly slept. Nobody of them had. The others began to slowly walk again so Akane wouldn't explode again.
Herkio turned to Ela for a las time. "Thanks" he mumbled and without saying anything more he hugged her close to him for some seconds before he turned around and continued to walk after the others.

Ela really didn't have the time to reply properly before they started walking again and she was about to follow their example when he hugged her. Her heart skipped a lot of beats and she just managed to breathe in his... scent before he let go and turned around to keep walking.
"Wooow..." She heard the spirit. "Akane he makes out with but you get hugged... hmm... what's the difference in that relationship?" The spirit asked and Elas heart shot back into a working condition as her heart raced instead. Her mind catching up with what had just happened and she let her hair fall in front of her face as she didn't want anyone to she her blush. Because she knew she was blushing. "Oh yeah, a hug and a thanks means friends doesn't it?" The spirit continued trying to set Elas rising happiness level back. Simply trying to tug Ela down didn't work though and as the spirit realized this it tried to get her attention. However Ela shut her out, trying to figure out when she could tell him that the firelord didn't need anything special to almost destroy the whole world, just his firebending and a comet. A good person wouldn't think about it as much, a bad person would wield it as a weapon because he or she could. Anyone could, really.

Herkio didn't notice that Ela blushed or even was thinking about the hug. But he was doing it. He had done it without thinking and now he felt warm inside. He couldn't help but smile like a idiot to himself. He liked Ela. She was the only one of them he really had come in contact with. She could understand his spiritproblems and had saved him multiple times. And she was quite beautiful... "Aw, so cute" laughed the spirit as it appeared again. "Are you in love?".
He quickly threw away the thought. But she was beautiful. And he liked her. And he had felt pretty upset when he saw her dancing with Ryuu. But he didn't say anything of this, he just continued to walk. Now when he had calmed down he felt so tired, so soon he was almost beginning to be behind the others. He really felt his lack of sleep now.
"God...I need to sleep" he mumbled quietly to himself. He didn't really notice where they where going anymore, he just followed them. "Are we there yet?" he asked Akane since he didn't know how much more he could handle or walk. They just needed to rescue them and then find somewhere to rest.

"Yeah, just entered town. It's a business town, the dock is the biggest thing." Akane said and threw something to Bipin.
"Take one each, it's gives you a bit of a boost." She said as she took one of the white pills herself and swallowed them straight without seemingly caring. "Nothing harmful, I swear. It's like drinking a cup of coffee, just quicker." Akane continued and Bipin took one and didn't seem to be really sure of it. Ela took one out of the package, she knew what it was... they used it at the larger parties to stay up all night. She swallowed it, she missed the alcohol to get it down properly. However it would still have effect. It always did, and quick. It was basically caffeine pills that her father originally had to keep the nightwatches awake during birdwatch. Ryuu was a bit hesitant until he saw Ela take one of the pills, he didn't want to get drugged again... well, not like before anyway.

Hye saw the pill, contemplated if she needed it and decided on: "No." as the answer. However she grabbed one anyway, pretended to eat it and let it slip into one of her pockets, therefore she can save it for a better time.

"See, there's the docks." Akane said and pointed towards the ships in a distance... a very short distance. The largest ships was socked in the middle and you could see it clearly. People were bringing other people on it. Chained together like animals they were brought on the ship. Some were stashed on in iron-coffins. Akane was pretty sure Daya was one of them.

Herkio took one pill and studied it. He was really tired, but was drugs a good thing? But he saw Ela swallow it and calmed down and swallowed it as well. He trusted that she knew what it was. And after a little while he felt a bit better, like he had had a big cup of coffee. He got to the others again and was able to keep up with them this time.
Soon he saw the docks as well, and he saw the benders they where getting into the ships. That could have been him. Maybe it should be him even. But not they had to save the others. "Are we just going to free them? " he wondered but got quiet. He saw someone he knew. "Waki?" he whispered. What where his friend from the south pole doing there? He was in chains, so that meant he was a bloodbender. Herkio's eyes got big. "Are everybody bloodbenders now?". He started to run, he had to save his friend.
"I get my friend, and Ikal if I see him!". He didn't know how the others looked so he couldn't help with them.

"Wait!" Akane shouted as he ran off and she sighed again.
"If we get Daya she can take care of everyone around here." Ela replied and her heard kind of dropped down to her stomach as Herkio ran off. Daya was powerful enough to get everyone down, she was an avid follower of the breathbending ways in such a manner that Daya could kill a whole battlefield off. Ela would call that a lie unless she had seen with her own eyes how the breathbender viciously murdered everything from mice to grown men. Ela weren't about to lie, she would go into a fight with Bipin in the avatar state before facing Daya in battle.
"Did you say Daya?" A female voice said next to her and Ela jumped back and met the gaze of the bounty hunter who smiled. "I haven't seen her in ages, you're saying someone caught her?" The bounty hunter continued and Ela became utterly confused... as did the others. "Oh, you didn't know? I'm Kauri and Daya is my sister." She said and the smile became larger. Full-blown. "However I think I saw the ship with the airbenders so how 'bout you and me go find my sister." She pointed at Ela who went cold, really?
"I guess we should fight with someone who carries a double-edged scythe." Akane commented.
"I'll go with." Ryuu said with a smile. "I don't think lightning-bending will help out any of the groups." He said and put his arm around Ela, it was just to be a bit cocky... or maybe supportive.
"Cool, I get the avatar and the airbender." Akane said, nodding happily. "Spread out!" She continued and Kauri pulled Ela and Ryuu towards the ship with the airbenders.

Herkio was running towards the prisoners and the boat with the bloodbenders. It had to be bloodbenders atleast since almost all people wore water tribe clothes, so they where waterbenders. He brought out his water when he got close enough and quickly knocked out the guards with a burst of water before he made his way to his friend. "Herkio? What the hell are you doing here?" his friend Waki asked him. ALl the benders where in chains. "Not now, I have to free you". He started to cut the chains with his water and soon his friend was free. "Help the other benders here get away, I have to find another" Herkio told his friend and gave him some of his water before he started to run inside the ship. But before he got in he looked back at his friend one last time. He had almost identical clothes to himself and they shared some traits in appearance as well. Waki had black hair that reached to his shoulders, deep blue eyes and a pretty feminine face. He was shorter than Herkio and thinner.
Herkio soon was inside the both, looking for Ikal. He saw a lot of benders, some he quickly freed so they could help others before he continued his search. "Ikal!" he shouted. "Where are you?". But soon he saw him. "Thank god! There you are!". He started to cut his chains as well and soon they where gone. "We need to get out of here before the guards return". He started to run outside again and saw Waki again. He just grabbed his arm and started running away from the docks. "Waki, I didn't know you where a bloodbender?" he said to his friend as they ran. Waki cleared his throat. "I..I". Herkio sighed. "Is okay, I'm one too".

Ryuu was the one who got the task of freeing the airbenders since it seemed to be in different groups below deck. They were even separated in the different airtemples. Like it mattered. Ryuu had been given a knife by Kauri and he used this to picklock the locks. Those who got freed helped, some ran off... with all right. Ryuu did his best.

Kauri unleashed her scythe more than once while she and this girl Ela made their way below deck. They got the the unmarked prison cell and Kauri looked in the bars... and met the gaze of her sister. Who had the same glimpse of confidence even behind steelbars.
"Ela, could you?" Kauri said and Ela nodded as she used her necklace rock to cut the locks open. The door glided open and they were met with a... odd setup. The woman was Daya, no doubt about it. She looked almost like Kauri, however Dayas hair was longer, her eyes were blue and her skin wasn't covered in huge scars like Kauris. However Daya stared coldly as her mouth was covered in some barred plastic thing. Just below Dayas hairline you could see blue airbender arrows tattooed on her forehead. On her black-clothed arms covered the other ones. She was locked in place though and Ela continued and cut her chains. It just took a few seconds for Daya to rip her gag off and use her airbending to run past them.
"Hurry, big sis is pissed off." She said and Ela and Kauri ran.

Ryuu could feel the blast of air as the new airbender ran through the ship... and saw in horror as the metal of the ship broke.
"Hurry get out!" He screamt and was truly happy that he'd gotten the airbenders loose.

Daya was ticked off as she flew straight above the ship.
"She's loose!" A voice from below screamt and Daya laughed. Her dear little sister had freed her with the sacrifice. She did a flip, she could fly... like Zaheer. The man who had almost ended the avatar-line. Daya however was more interested in killing all of these stupid soldiers as she started pulling the air out of their lungs whilst laughing manically.

Hye got out just before Bipin, they had done it and the panic that ensued made it easier and her jaw dropped as she saw the breathbender... flying above her. She stared in chock... really. She also saw Kauri and Ela get out on the deck of the other ship. Staring up at the breathbender who was killing whoever wore a Republic City-uniform it seemed.

Herkio looked back towards the other ships. There where still people stuck in there. And soon more guards would probably come when the news of the outbreak reached them. They needed to get all out and they get as far away there as possible. He needed to help the rest of his friends and turned to Waki and Ikal. "Stay here, I need to help my friends". He then where off to the boats again.

He soon reached them, it was chaos. People where running, some tried to help others and then..Then he saw a girl that was flying, and killing people? His eyes got big as he saw one soldier fall to the ground dead. Was she a breathbender? He couldn't let her kill those guards. They where just doing their jobs, it wasn't them they needed to kill or hurt. So he brought out his water and snapped her with it so she would turn her attention to him. "Hey! Let them be! It isn't them we need to kill!". She was still laughing like a maniac and came flying against him while he felt how he couldn't breathe. "Stupid waterbender" she laughed and Herkio did the only thing that seemed to help. He bended her blood before it was to late. She seemed suprised when she couldn't move any muscle, or bend. He brought her down to the ground and quickly brought up more water and covered her hands and feet with thick ice. She was struggeling violently and was able to get her hands free and then her feet again.
She grinned and before he could bend again she quickly pulled out the air of his lungs. He was beginning to turn blue and felt how the world started to spin.

Daya was laughing as the bloodbender turned blue. Normally she could counter-act it but this rookie got her in the midst of her happy little killing spree. She didn't give a damn about this damn brat, just as she was about to kill him off for good her sisters large scythe swept by and Daya was forced to stop. Stopping seemed to calm her down ever so slightly as well. She landed on deck, looked around and dodged again as the weapon came back. Her sister and that annoying little sacrifice was right there, she knew that the sacrifice didn't die but why gang up with her inferior sister? Daya was far stronger than Kauri anyway.

Kauri reached up and caught her scythe as it came flying back and watched as the odd little lavabender rushed over to the bloodbender. Trying to either wake him up or keep him awake, she also saw the avatar and their other two friends jump up to stand in front of them. To protect the bloodbender maybe? The avatar brought up the metal.
"I'm sorry, it was not my point to create a massmurder." Daya said as Kauris sister looked around on the corpses. "Sometimes I just lose my temper." She continued with a smile, it was warm... like she actually meant it. But something anyone should know about Daya is that she's completely out of it. Kauri stood prepared to throw her weapon again.

"Tell me, have you found Ikal, Akane and Katsu?" This... madwoman asked in a polite manner. Bipin didn't know what to do with her, she was evidently powerful enough to win over any of them... and he couldn't counter her. Bloodbending could, he saw that much.
"We're allright, I'm allright because of the guy you just tried to kill too." Akane said angrily as she rocketed herself on deck.
"Then I truly hope he survived, it wouldn't be fitting to return that favor by killing him." The breathbender replied... she's so polite all of a sudden.
"What the hell, Daya, you can't just excuse yourself out of this!" Ela shouted from behind them as her biggest concern seemed to be Herkio... with all right. It was scary to look at... actually Bipin was kind of freaking out where he stood. Ready to defend if that was needed. He looked up as he heard Pema do noises from the sky, she wanted to leave. Bipin just shook his head, trying to concentrate on this... psychopath.
"Let's go before you do something else, Daya." Akane said and gestured towards land. The psycho complied... and still Bipin didn't know what to do.
