New generation benders

Herkio hear continued to hear them all and sighed. He tried just to listen to Ela. He could hear her breaths, it was a bit calming. He did as she said and laid still. It hurted to move so it wasn't to bad to do that.
"Thanks" he mumbled when she bandaged it. He slowly turned around so he could see her. "Are you okay? You're bloody" hw asked worried. He used the rest of the water to wipe her hands and face so she would be clean. He then smiled faintly. "Guesses which spoiled brat showed up to be the key so I could get out of the chains".

"I'm fine, just scrapes." She replied quickly, it's the truth but it still felt like a lie. However she blushed when he wiped the blood away, if she didn't cry she was blushing. It was a little bit annoying. She went kind of bitter as he spoke again. That bitch? She couldn't believe it, really. That means that there's northern waterbenders there as well as her tribal members? Maybe they could get those birds down together... maybe there wasn't going to be that many deaths. She didn't want a death count on her conscience. "The princess?" She asked and smiled back a little. Just for the reason that she felt it was necessary. Like it just had to be like that. She didn't feel happy at all though. She felt heavy and dragged down.

Herkio was laying on his back now even if it hurted. And he was actually freezing without a shirt. Weird he never felt cold, well not so much atleast. "Okay" he mumbled and continued to look at her. "I'm so happy you're okay" he mumbled. "I can't understand how this even happend". Everything had been so great until he got kidnapped. The kidnapping...."Oh no" he moaned. "This is my fault. Hadn't I been kidnapped you wouldn't have to help me and you didn't have to go back. I'm sorry".
He was then quiet a while and nodded to her. "Yeah, she wanted to take me with her again". He smiled faintly back even if he felt bad. Was all this is fault? What if he had just been able to get those kidnappers away this wouldn't have happend.

"If I had ran back when we met you probably hadn't been kidnapped at all." Ela replied, considering the fact that she was the one that wanted them to land in Kuro the most.
"It's nobody's fault." Bipin suddenly said angrily, maybe frustrated. "We're heading to one of the southern air temples." He continued as if to get their minds off the situation. "If we're lucky it should take a maximum of three or four days." He continued.
"If not?" Ryuu asked.
"Around a week." Hye replied in Bipins place. Ela pushed Herkios shirt towards him. She didn't want him to catch a cold as well.

Herkio sighed. "You shouldn't even think about running back. I'm not letting you get sacrificed for such a stupid cause". He then heard Bipin and just sighed again, but he continued talking after he was finished. "I can understand that the land you live on is sacred or something like that. But you can move anyway. Some years ago on the south pole things started to..melt. Not even waterbenders could stop it. So we were forced to move a bit so our homes wouldn't be destroyed. Even if we had lived on that ground for hundreds of years".
He got his shirt and took it on before looking at her hands and arms that had scraps. "I can help you". He took out his water and covered his hands in it before they started to glow again, he carefully touched her wounds and they healed up.

"It's not just sacred." Ela said and pulled her arms back before he was finished. "It's not just some spirit-filled ground, it's everything that created my culture. Everything that made me into who I am." She continued and pulled back a little since she knew how it sounded. She was defending it. "It's not even just a home, it's a refuge for those who has nowhere to turn to." Ela was sure that someone would scream at her for this. "The earth kingdom is harsh, they look down on lavabending because the first non-avatar documented to bend it was a criminal." She continued and meant Ghazan, the fugitive that lived when Korra was the avatar. "Bloodbending is horrible because it was firstly used by someone who got kidnapped by the fire nation to escape and when Amon stole the bending from benders because he believed that non-benders deserved to stand equal to benders." Ela was being totally honest and tried to be calm but she was clearly pretty frustrated. "So I'm sorry for feeling bad about dooming those who has nowhere else to run because nobody believes they deserve a chance." She said... or actually finished and crossed her arms.
"Does that count for combustion-benders too? They're barely allowed around the world because those who knows how to bend it are usually evil?" Ryuu said and Ela turned to look at him.
"Yeah." She replied. "There are some in our tribe." She said this with a nod and Ryuu stared out into the distance again.

Herkio got away from her a bit when she pulled her arms back and he put back the water in his bag. He listened to her, and was surpised over how she defended it all. He sighed when she was done, but something seemed to really have touched him. And it was about the bloodbending. He had sworn to never think of it, to never tell anyone and never do it again. But he could. He had done it. Three years ago he had discovered it by accident. He had been hunted by a big bear, and didn't have any water around him, not even his bag. So in his panic he had...done it. He had been able to force the bear to stop and lay down so he could run away himself. And he hated himself for it. He had been thaught that blodbendning was horrible, because it was.
He just looked at her for a while before he sighed and turned his gaze out over the clouds. In some weird way it felt like he have had an fight with her. Soon he closed his eyes and seemed to be asleep, but he was still awake.

Ela let her still weird hairbun out and let it flow back down her shoulders. Her hair was wavy and curled up in the end. Her hair almost looked like a waterfall. She got something thrown to her and she saw it that it was some kind of blanket which she wrapped around herself since she was freezing. She rested her head against her chest and breathed in. She was trying to ignore the heavy feeling in her chest of guilt. She can't keep track of what she's supposed to be guilty off. However when she breathed in she noticed the scent of her mother... not sulfur like her blanket. She looked up to meet the eyes of Bipin as he had switched over, did he trust Pema that much? Had he been in Elas house? Bipin seemed to wait for the reaction and Ela stayed poker-face. Even if she was at the brink of tears as it was. Ryuu was now sitting off on his part of the saddle and seemed to have fallen asleep just like Hye.
"It was your mothers, wasn't it?" Bipin asked and Ela simply nodded as a response. "Yeah, I found it during their meeting... the talked about her." He didn't seem to want to let it slide. "They said that she was a very spiritual woman." He continued and smiled at her. "That she was really in touch with the spirits around her and the spiritworld." Ela stared at him, if anyone other was awake she wouldn't notice it at all. "They even said that if you'd die they were certain that your mother would welcome you into the spiritworld." Bipin said and his head angled a bit.
"So?" Ela said and you could hear that she was annoyed.
"Did that ever go through your head? That you'd meet your mother again?" He replied and asked.
"Did it go through my head if I'd see my dead mother again?" She asked and Bipin just stared, awaiting her response. Elas voice was already lowered but still she lowered it even more when she answered. "Of course it did." As she said this she placed the blanket over her head and made herself comfortable enough to sleep and closed her eyes. Ela didn't want to talk about it... still she couldn't hinder the tears that fell down her face as she breathed in her mother's scent once again.

Herkio was about to fall asleep when he heard Bipin and Ela. He listened but didn't know what they where talking about. So soon he gave in and fell asleep. But his sleep wasn't peaceful. His spirit was in his dream "Give after for it. Blood bending is a gift. You should be thankgul for it. Use it!" It kept screaming again and again at him. He tried to shut it out and when he didn't do it he felt his own body being controlled, somebody used bloodbending at him. He couldn't even scream. Finally he could see who was attacking him, himself. It ended with him able to scream before he woke up.

He was sweaty and shaky and looked around. They where on the ground now and Bipin went around and woke evrybody up. Herkio sat up and was about to say somethinh when he heard her voice. "Herkio! Are you okay?". Siku. How was it even possible?! He just starred at her and tried to push her away. But she just kept hugging him.
"Do it!" Screamed the spirit and before he could think he lifted his hands and did it. He got her away and forced her to start goinf before he realized what he had done. Siku ran away.
"No...no...!" He whimpered and looked at thr others. "I'm a monster! How could I do that!". He was almost crying. :Forgive me...forgive me...".

Ela had dressed herself in some of Ryuus extra clothes. Meaning that she was now dressed in regular firebender-wear. In fact she was dressed in black and red and she didn't have her scarf anymore. Ela had washed off her wounds in a pond close by. She just came back in time to see Siku run away. However she didn't get far as Ela gave her a little tent for the time being. She had seen was Herkio had done, it made her pretty ticked off. Not as pissed off as she would've been if she didn't know the guy. Why the hell were they scared of Herkio anyway? Obviously he didn't want to use it.
"Yes, yes you are." She simply said and crossed her arms. "Especially a hypocritical one." Ela continued and to her it didn't matter what the others said, because they did protest. They protested eagerly. "Why even care?" She said harshly, cold. "Blood benders are dangerous and they belong in prison where they are abused for something they never asked for." She told the propaganda she herself had heard ages ago. "However, you're not a monster and you're not a criminal. If anything I'd be the monster for crushing a northern water princess, don't you think?" She continued and didn't wait for a response as she rose up from her squatting and walked back to Sikus possibly permanent prison. "It's not the damn power that makes a monster, Herkio, it's what the person does with what they know." She said with her back turned and to her it didn't matter what happened to Siku at all. Her spirit was whispering, screaming and muttering that Siku wasn't needed. Ela was just about exhausted enough to comply to anything that spirit said right now.
