New generation benders

Herkio panicked as he couldn't get loose from the spirit's grip. He was stuck deep down in the lake. He was going to drown. Die from his own element. It was almost funny. But he couldn't laugh, because then just more water was going to get in his lungs, killing him faster.

He could hear the other shout from the shore even if it was in the water. It sounded so far away, like dream voices and he closed his eyes. Maybe it was just best to give up, he couldn't defeat this spirit, not even get free from it. It was drowning him.
All became darker as he started to run out of air, his head pounded and his lungs where filled with water. But at the same time if felt nice, just fadding away, and he loved the feeling of being in water...Just as he was about to close his eyes for good, because he didn't have the strenght to pull himself above the surface, something happend. The moon got up, it was full and the white light was hitting the water. It was like he got new strenght. He opened his water and used his powers to dash up to one end of the shore. He gasped and almost puked as he got out some of the water before looking towards the others, he could see the spirit. "Don't go near them!" she shouted a stood up with shaky legs. He bened up a towering wall of water, it was huge. He then smashed it against the spirit and frooze it, trying to stop it some.

"He's up!" Ela shouted.
"Hye is still down there though!" Ryuu screamt.
"There!" Bipin pointed and they saw a schocked Hye pop uo behind the large wall coughing wildly.
"Get up from the water." Ela said and hurried to get Hye out of the water, however Ryuu was first. The spirit was angry and beat the wall as if it was his enemy number one.
"Get away! Go!" She screamt as the spirit continued its rampage. It was huge, dark... its eyes were horrid and purple. Glowing with hatred and anger. She backed off few steps as Ryuu got Hye to shore. Hye wasn't used to the water, that was evident as she was almost collapsing as it was... and Herkio had been completely under. He had probably been almost dead when he finally got up again. Bipin tried helping the best way he could... earthbending. Hye followed his example and started bending her lava. However she did her best to envelop the spirit in a net of glowing lava. If she could just... not be terrified of using her spiritual powers to actually cleanse it however she couldn't since her little spirit-bully showed herself right beside her. However she didn't realize that the two spirits energies and also the moon made it possible for pretty much anyone to see all the spirits around the area.

Herkio felt like he would really puke, or faint. His head still pounded but the moon gave him powers. He was about to get to Hye when he saw the beast again. His ice stopped it some, but cracks began to show in it as the spirit was trying to get out. He was ready with a new wave of ice when Ela covered it in lava.
That gave him an idea. He was made another big wave and got on top on it, riding it as it dashed over the lava, cooling it down into hard rock. That would probably contain the spirit for a while.
Herkio fell to the ground and coughed when he reached them. His whole body was shaking and he closed his eyes.

"What are we going to do?" Bipin said freaking out as he turned to Ela and he jumped back just as quick.
"Who?" He said chocked and Ela turned her head to meet her clone who disappeared instantly. Ela took it as an invite to have some fun with the spirit.
"You better protect them if that things get out." She said and Bipin nodded quickly. "You too, Ryuu!" She continued and Ryuu nodded. The rock had already started to crack as the spirit was beating at it. She made some more lava breathing slowly, concentrating on her energy. She got taught this, she needed to use this. She had to help them. Ela reached up for the sky as th lava was spiraling upwards around the angry spirit. When waterbenders did this the spirit calmed down at the moment that the waterbend had them covered. However she had to stay calm... if she was calm her bending would calm the spirit down too. The spiral of lava was now taller than the actual spirit and the lava started glowing in golden yellow. The spirit stood still, switching from purple to blue... It was shrinking and calmed down slowly. Eventually it was just a human-sized squid which flopped down into the water and Ela had the misfortune of cleansing a huge spirit and she wasn't used to it. She fell back down to the sand and coughed as the air was knocked out of her. She had over-used herself so the fatigue was obvious. However behind them a rising celebration was heard... the people of the village had seen them then? She sighed, that means people know her and she needs to move on... quick.

Herkio heard Bipin freak out, he wanted to calm him down but he couldn't get off the ground. He was still shaking and it was a wonder that he hadn't puked yet. The water had been a combination of sweet and salt so it wasn't too bad to swallow a bit of it, but he had swallowed much of it and was still coughing.
He wasn't able to get up until the spirit was calmed down. He turned so he was laying on his back. He looked up at them and saw how Ela fell to the ground beside him.
"Are you all okay?" he asked still coughing. "I..I can't understand that I almost died because of my own element!" he said, almost a bit embarresed. "I almost drowned...".

Ela was lying there and chuckled slightly when he asked if they were okay. Hye had passed out by now, understandable considering the force she had been dragged down with. Horrid power to be honest, Ela could swear that she could hear the thud as Hye had hit the ground. People were forming around them.
"Get away! They need healers!" Someone in the mass screamt. Ela was just relieved that it was over really so she laughed and Ryuu popped up.
"I think the spirit got to your head, Ela." He commented as a healer showed up and started to heal Hye and two others showed up to heal the other two.
"I got to learn those tricks!" Bipin said as he leaned in. "That wall was amazing! And that lava thing you two did!" He sounded like some kind of pro-bending fanatic. "Oh, and you got to take me to those volcanoes! Whatever you did to that spirit was superuseful!" He continued as the healers made her drenched. "Can you teach me that wall-trick too, Herkio!?" He said and Ryuu pushed at him.
"Stop harassing them, damn it!" Ryuu said almost angrily as the people around him was cheering and roaring like they were heroes.
"We're heroes..." Ela mumbled smiling brightly all of a sudden. She didn't even mind the comments... she was a hero.

Herkio continued to cough for a while before finally resting his head on the ground. He was tired now, though he was much better than in the water due to the moon that still was up. He listned to Ryuu and Bipin and smiled faintly. "Sure Bipin" he mumbled and turned around so he was laying on his back.
Soon a healer came to him as well and helped get out the last of the water before he 'healed' him. He felt a bit better and slowly sat up and looked towards the water. He bended up some of it to him so he had his little ball of water again, it made him calm and relaxed, he needed to relax some after his, after almost drowning.

When Ela had gotten her share of healing she sat up and looked around at the people that was standing off staring from a distance... still cheering. The healer seemed to be starstruck or something. She turned around towards Hye and saw the poor girl still lying there and she was completely passed out. Hye wasn't used to water probably and when the healers were done with Ela and Herkio they had all gone over to Hye trying to wake her up.
"I had me really worried." Ela told Herkio. "But I see you're already back on track." She continued with a nod towards his ball of water. Bipin came back.
"Can you teach me that too?" He asked and pointed at the ball of water.
"Geez! Bipin! Let them rest!" Ryuu said pulling him back.
"But it's cool!" Bipin replied and sounded like a small child.
"Did anyone see what happened to Hye by the way? She just got pulled down below as far as I saw..." Ryuu said and looked at Hye and he seemed seriously worried.

Herkio didn't notice the cheering until now. He smiled faintly. Even if he almost died they where all heroes. They had helped this village and hopefully would be remembered.
He smiled towards Ela and nodded. "Yeah, and this relaxes me" he said and continued playing with it. To feel the water just in his hands and not lungs where great, and it needed more than that to make him afraid of his own element.
"Sure..." he said to Bipin when Ryuu came again. He sighed but just slowly stood up and looked at Hye. He hadn't even noticed her before. "I don't know, but I think she will be okay soon".

"Wait, what do we do now?" Bipin asked and turned to the crowd.
"The mayor wants to meet you..." One of the healers replied. "... You saved the whole town." The healer continued and Bipin seemed really confused. Just as he was about reply Hye woke up with a horrid gasp for air and she coughed up the water the healers hadn't gotten out of her system yet. Ela stood up from the ground, she wanted to sleep, not meet the mayor. Especially not right now when she'd rather disappear down through the sand below.
